I met Dan shortly after I moved to Nantucket in 2003. At that time I had no idea how talented he was. He filmed an audition for a mutual friend for the film “Failure to Launch” and I played a part opposite the actor that was auditioning. I stayed in touch with Dan but only knew him as a commercial director. When I shot SHE and HE I asked Dan if he could give me recommendation for a good film editor, as close to Nantucket as possible. He said what about on Nantucket and we started working together to edit my film. I learned more about filmmaking from Dan in the few months of working on the edit than at any other point in the film. During that time I also learned that Dan is a landscape designer as well as what his true passion is; Photography.
